  4. Title: Using the Disk Interface Board (SCSI Card) as a keycard.

  6. It is not possible to use Novell's Disk Coprocessor Board (DCB) as a
  7. keycard.
  8.  
  9. The Disk Interface Board (DIB) may be used in place of a keycard
  10. for all 86 and 286 systems.  Be sure to perform the following steps. 
  11.  
  12. 1.Set the switches in both banks to either the "ON" or the
  13. "closed" position.  (Some banks are labeled on/off and others
  14. are labeled closed/open.)  This tells the board that no disk
  15. drives are attached.  In this arrangement the board will still use
  16. IRQ-2, DMA-1, and I/O Ports 340-343.  The board also has an
  17. EPROM socket that decodes at D000:0. 
  18.  
  19. 2.The interrupt and DMA channel may be changed by setting the
  20. switches in banks S1.5.  Select a configuration that will NOT
  21. conflict with any other boards or devices that you currently
  22. have installed in your machine.  The following is a list of
  23. possible settings:

  25.      IRQ-2, DMA-1, all switches set to "ON" position
  26.  
  27.      IRQ-3, DMA-1, Switch 3 "OFF," all others "ON"
  28.      
  29.      IRQ-5, DMA-1, Switches 2 and 3 "OFF," all others "ON"
  30.      
  31.      IRQ-2, DMA-3, Switch 1 "OFF," all others "ON"
  32.      
  33.      IRQ-3, DMA-3, Switches 1 and 3 "OFF," all others "ON"
  34.      
  35.      IRQ-5, DMA-3, Switches 1, 2 and 3 "OFF," all others "ON"
  36.      
  37.      IRQ-2, No DMA, Switch 2 "OFF," all others "ON"
  38.      
  39.      IRQ-3, No DMA, Switches 1 and 2 "OFF," all others "ON"
  40.      
  41. 3.If you have the "Enhanced SCSI Adapter" which has been made
  42. since June 1985, you may also disable the EPROM decode.  This
  43. is done by setting switches 6, 7 and 8 in bank S1.5 to the "ON"
  44. position.
